Senior Electrical Engineer

Autopro Automation Consultants Ltd is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Calgary office. The successful candidate will have an electrical engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design in an industrial environment, with extensive experience in leading design teams and a strong field based experience background to draw upon. Engineers must be eligible for registration by APEGGA.

Preference will be given to individuals with:

  • Experience managing and coordinating electrical design teams.
  • A working background in the oil & gas, chemical processing, and pulp & paper industries.
  • Extensive experience in electrical design as it relates to industrial automation systems.
  • Project management experience, preferably with a PMP designation.
  • Registration in additional provinces such as BC, Sask., and Man.

Automation Systems Consultants

Autopro Automation Consultants Ltd is currently seeking full time automation engineers and technologists for their Western Canadian offices.

Positions currently available include electrical, instrumentation, automation and information technology disciplines. We are searching for both junior and intermediate skill sets in all disciplines, while recruiting for senior specialists with extensive experience in the areas of compressor controls, pipeline SCADA or Safety Systems. The successful candidates will have a related engineering degree or technology diploma.

Engineers must be eligible for registration by APEGGA, while Technologists must be eligible for registration by ASET.

Automation Engineers and Technologists - Grande Prairie

Autopro Automation Consultants Ltd. is currently seeking full time automation engineers and technologists for our Grande Prairie office.

Positions currently available include electrical, instrumentation and automation disciplines.  We are searching for junior, intermediate and senior resources in all disciplines, with preference given to resources with prior design or consulting experience.  The successful candidates will have a related engineering degree or technology diploma and be eligible for registration with APEGGA or ASET.

Senior Automation Systems Engineering Consultant - Edmonton

The successful candidate(s) will join a team of highly skilled professionals providing automation system design, implementation, commissioning, and support services with a focus on major industrial facilities located in NE Alberta.

The successful candidate will be responsible for client management and project management for our clients in Northern Alberta and will be required to in work in Fort McMurray oil sand facilities as business work load dictates.

15 years of hands on experience with distributed controls systems, programmable logic controls and industrial safety systems is required. Experience with automation systems including Honeywell TPS/Experion, Rockwell Control Logix, Siemens PLC’s and Modicon PLC’s is required Experience with DeviceNet, Modbus and Ethernet communication/protocols is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with previous automation project experience in oilsands facilities. 

Engineers must be eligible for registration by APEGGA.

Instrumentation Designer - Grande Prairie

Autopro Automation Consultants Ltd is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Instrumentation Designer for their Grande Prairie office.

Autopro Automation is a growing consulting firm that supplies industrial automation services with offices in Grande Prairie, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Fort McMurray.  We focus on industrial automation in the Pulp and Paper, Oil & Gas, and Utilities industry sectors.

The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of instrumentation design experience with a related engineering degree or technology diploma. They will be part of a team providing automation system design, implementation, commissioning, and technical support for our industrial client base.

Engineers must be eligible for registration by APEGGA, while Technologists must be eligible for registration by ASET.

Preference will be given to individuals with:

  • Oil & gas and/or pulp and paper industrial experience
  • Software skills designing and implementing controls on PLC, HMI, RTU and/or DCS platforms
  • Project management experience
