Business Development Manager (Edmonton)

Position Profile

Reporting to the President of the Smart Process business vertical, the Business Development Manager will identify and develop business opportunities for the company’s engineering and automation services and for mCloud’s AssetCare platform. The Business Development Manager will develop and manage specific client accounts, develop and execute tactical sales strategies to grow the business, and participate in trade shows and client focused events. The Business Development Manager directly interface with new and existing clients to develop relationships and promote and enhance mCloud/Autopro’s corporate image.

Position Accountabilities   

  • Identify and develop business opportunities for AssetCare and the company’s engineering and automation services. Identify target markets, customers and competitive offerings.
  • He/she will develop and execute tactical sales strategies to increase the business, prepare and deliver sales presentations and participate in trade shows and client focused events.
  • The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of engineering and industrial automation services and the ability to work independently to meet Autopro’s sales and growth objectives.
  • Experience in the delivery of industrial engineering services and AI and analytics will be considered a significant asset.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline preferred
  • 8 + years of sales experience within engineering and/or industrial automation environments; Oil & Gas.
  • 5 + years of progressive experience in industrial environments; Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Pulp & Paper, Utilities, or Refineries.

  • This position will require a significant amount of travel, possibly as high as 50% to 60% of the time.
